General Update on the Status of the Administration | Last updated 1 July 2026
The majority of group members in both the Ethicon and Boston Settlement Administrations have now received their Notice of Assessment. Second interim payments are continuing to be made on a weekly basis as the review period lapses. If you have received your Notice of Assessment and have not yet been paid, you will be paid within 10 days after your review period expires (unless you choose to seek a review).
We are waiting on additional information to progress the remaining claims such as medical records from your treatment providers. The Administrators are continuing to follow up for outstanding medical records to progress the outstanding claims as quickly as possible. If you have not yet received your Notice of Assessment you do not need to contact us, we will contact you if we require additional information.
We thank you for your patience while we finalise all claims in the administration.
A case management hearing is scheduled on 16 July 2026 at 9:30am. You may access the hearing online via Federal Court of Australia
